The Ocean Avenue Craft Beer Bar Crawl set for this Saturday is sure to be a hit! Please consider joining in!
As sponsor and organizer of the fundraiser, I must report the impressive collaboration and engagement community stakeholders have afforded me. What it all really seems to show is that the revitalization of Ocean Avenue’s commercial corridor is a confirmed success. There is community participation that wasn’t possible only a few years ago. Aside from the physical improvements to businesses and the street, there is an improvement of spirit!
The proprietors of Randy’s Place, Ocean Ale House and The Ave were quick to join the bar crawl bandwagon and support the Friends of Geneva Office Building and Powerhouse‘s quest to make sure the historic building at San Jose and Geneva avenues is properly and renovated and activated. Sponsors like the Ocean Avenue Association, Whole Foods Market, Happy Vape and Faxon Garage graciously donated to the effort immediately. I must extend a special thanks to members of the San Francisco Neighborhood Newspapers Association for help promoting the bar crawl. Of course, I must thank the Ocean Avenue Association’s Dan Weaver, Neil Ballard and Luis Licea for their hard work.
The first Ocean Avenue Craft Beer Crawl will be Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 2-6 p.m. Wristband ticket holders get discounted drinks. Proceeds go to the Friends of the Geneva Office Building and Powerhouse. Below is the list of offerings at the three participating venues:
