San Francisco Police Department inspectors are investigating a shooting in Ocean View that ended in the death of one person.
At the intersection of Plymouth and Broad streets, storefronts were hit by gunfire on Sunday, Oct. 11.
Police officers responded to the incident at 8:00 a.m. and located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and transported him to San Francisco General Hospital where he died, according to SFPD Public Information Officer Grace Gatpandan.
Gunfire tore through the glass of Dream Team, a boutique apparel store. Two bullets struck the glass façade of Lacy’s Barbershop next door.
At noon, police were still investigating, collecting security camera footage and towing two cars that had been shot to examine for evidence.
Donald Andrews, owner of Dream Team, said, “It’s a sad day for someone.”
SFPD took in participants of the incident, how many is unclear, for questioning and medical services.
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency rerouted M-Ocean View streetcar traffic for the investigation and restored service around 1:00 p.m.
